A very early and desirable badge here, commemorating involvement in the "diszszemle" of 1955. A diszszemle was a military inspection parade which took place in Hungary. Initially these inspection parades took place every year, and then eventually every 5 years. This badge is dated April 4th, which was the "Day of Liberation" - a public holiday of the Hungarian People's Republic from 1950 to 1989 on which a Diszszemle was a part of the celebration. A very fine Rakosi era badge, with typical early S style pin on the reverse.
