This appears to be the North Korean equivalent of "excellent soldier" or "exemplary soldier" badges awarded by many Soviet/Warsaw Pact nations. This example is older, being of cast construction with a screwback on the reverse. More recently produced badges would be of stamped construction with a pin for attachment. Condition is as depicted in photos. Enamel is in good condition but is not perfect. Spinner is missing from the reverse.
