A fine original WWI Service medal from the US State of Missouri. This medal is on a length of original ribbon with no mounting brooch attached. Some signs of wear are present and visible in photos. 
 
The State of Missouri WWI Service Medal was awarded to all persons, who as citizens and residents of Missouri, were appointed, enlisted, or drafted in the armed forces of the United States, and served therein for any period between April 6, 1917 and November 11, 1918, inclusive. The State provided approximately 135,000 individuals for First World War service and all would have qualified for the medal, except National Guardsmen who would have received the State of Missouri War with Germany Medal to Missouri National Guard.
