A fine original Order of Commemoration of the 30th or 40th Anniversary of the Foundation of the DPRK. This award is in excellent condition with working pin and catch to the reverse. This variation, lacking a serial number or "1968" date on the reverse, was awarded for the 30 and 40 year jubilees. For the 50 year jubilee, a "50" was added beneath the national coat of arms. 
 
Based on the award statutes for the 20 year Order, this was awarded to those who were working in a government or political organization on the 30th and 40th anniversaries. It was awarded in recognition of distinquished service or meritorious achievement in the implementation of Party policies or for actions that strengthened the military capability of North Korea. It was also awarded for actions that furthered the development of the Korean Worker's Party.
