A very large and nicely detailed plaque here bearing the image of the Order of Lenin, for use on a monument or building. Stamped metal construction and relatively lightweight despite it's impressive size. This plaque measures at 21.7"x19.7" and is painted, as opposed to some other examples which are enamelled. Some minor wear is present at the edges of this plaque, likely from it's removal from whatever structure it once adorned. I have attached two examples of similar Order of Lenin plaques found on buildings for reference.
 
The Order of Lenin, the highest award of the USSR, was awarded to individuals, groups, institutions, enterprises and social organizations of the Soviet Union for outstanding service in different areas of building socialism and to persons who contributed significantly to the country's defense.
