An original WWI US "Peace medal" here. I am not sure of the exact origin of these medals. They appear with single and double suspension loops, and in a few different designs. The reverse of the medal always reads the same:
"World War Began August 1 1914
US entered April 6, 1917
War Ended Nov 11 1918"
