A nice and affordable 25 Year Faithful Service Medal complete with original award box. The award itself is in good condition and shows very little wear, however the award box has seen better days. The section of cardboard at the front of the award box lid is missing, and the box itself would best be described as "somewhat fragile" - it's bottom is partially detatched. Despite the condition of the box, it displays well. Box is unmarked.
 
On January 30th, 1938, Hitler instituted the Faithful Service Decoration, in three classes, to recognize long-serving civil servants and public works personnel. The decorations were intended to be an incentive for the civilian population to foster workplace loyalty and create a stable civil service.
