A very rare find here. This is a beautiful plaque awarded by the Massachusetts State Guard, 21st Infantry Division, to the 10th Company for an indoor rifle competition taking place in 1945. Featured on the plaque is a facsimile of a Springfield M1903, a target, and the state seal of Massachusetts. On the reverse is a chain to hang the plaque on a wall for display. Excellent condition overall with only minor surface scratches which are visible in photos. Approximately 9.5"x13.5" in size. Inscription reads as follows:
